Roadmap & resource planning for delivery teams

Plan a quarter
in minutes.

Critpath is one live timeline for every team. Drag the dates, wire up the dependencies, and watch capacity break before the sprint does — not at the review.

Drag, don't re-enter

Move and resize work directly on the timeline. Snapping keeps everything on the grid.

Soft constraints

Warnings and guidance, never hard blockers. Overlap is allowed — and visible.

Capacity in the same view

Allocations, utilisation and over-allocation sit above the plan, not in another tool.

Every team, one board

Project-scoped roadmaps with their own areas, platforms and access list.

01 · The plan

The timeline is the interface.

Areas become swimlanes. Work items become bars you can grab. Related tracks group into a tinted band. Everything you need to re-plan is one drag away.

Grab a bar. Change the plan.

Drag to move, pull the edges to resize. Snapping follows the zoom level you're in.

02 · Dependencies

One chain decides the date.

Internal links draw as cubic-bezier connectors with arrowheads; external links carry a URL. Turn on auto-scheduling and moving one item cascades the downstream dates — with a ghost preview before you commit.

  • Critical path highlightingthe driving chain gets its own ring so it never hides in the noise.
  • Problem edges turn reda violated dependency is visible on the board, not buried in a report.
  • Manual or autocascade dates automatically, or keep the connectors purely visual.

03 · Capacity

Find the over-allocation on the way in.

Scrub to any date and the utilisation bar recalculates: who's on what, at what percentage, and who has nothing. Green means fully used. Red means you promised the same person twice.

Conflicts, grouped by the person they'll hit.

Critpath detects resource over-allocation, scheduling collisions and dependency violations, then sorts them by severity and by resource — with a suggestion attached and a click straight to the item on the timeline.

Over-allocated 2–20 Feb

120% allocated across two work items in the same window.

Warning

Dependency starts before upstream ends

ENG-4141 begins 4 days before ENG-4118 completes.

05 · Pathfinder

An assistant that reads the whole plan.

Pathfinder sits in the roadmap, not in a chat silo. It reviews the current dates, dependencies and allocations, flags what's about to break, compares the plan against Jira, and proposes the specific edit — which you accept or ignore.

Analyse

Two things will bite you this sprint. Alex Moreau is at 120% from 2–20 Feb, and ENG-4141 starts before its upstream finishes — which puts the March ship date on the critical path.

06 · Fits your stack

Connected where it matters.

Google SSO with an allowlist for access, Jira for the work of record, and a REST API for everything else. Deployed on Railway.

Jira

Epic detail on the bar, portfolio import, resourcing sync.

Google SSO

Allowlist sign-in, admin and viewer roles, per-project membership.

REST API

Every entity readable and writable, project-scoped by slug.

Railway

Postgres in the same project, deploys on push, CI on every pull request.

07 · Pricing

Priced per editor, not per seat.
